Rescued from scrap

This original Taylor Dunn utility vehicle that was destine for scrap metal was given a second chance. A few beers with friends (many beers), we began on a build with no end vision in site. Many late nights and many painful mornings, more ideas, an off road adventure to Moonrocks and a few engines has landed us here. Ugly Buggy....

Nick Gray the founder of Ugly Buggy, made this creation in the peaceful town of Pioneer California. Situated in the trees is Nick's shop that in the winter is covered in snow and in the summer is not covered in snow.......... Sooner (the best dog) has been apart of Nick's life and his projects since he was a pup for over 15 years. The inspiration of Ugly Buggy came from (not going to lie) BEER! LOTS OF BEER. Many days of inebriated drive to build, and good friends such as Troy and Toby (that also get inspiration from beer) helped to craft this utility cart to be powered by a $25.00 Pontiac Fierro engine and transmission, Suzuki Samurai axles, steering from a forklift, grill from a dozer, and 36" tires with beadlocks.

After some shakedowns, Ugly Buggy was ready for finish work. This lead Nick to replace the wimpy 4 cylinder Fierro engine (that he blew up at Moonrocks) with a NOT $25.00 small block 350! The new engine, fresh paint and more BEERS equal Ugly Buggy ready for a mission.
